What does being a Treaty person mean? What are Treaties, and why do they matter today?

The Moccasin Identifier community engagement opportunities are designed to be engaging, accessible, and appropriate for all ages. Through these in-person experiences, participants explore important topics such as First Nations Treaties and traditional territories, and our shared relationship with the land.

We invite participants to visit our booth to ask questions, share, learn, and reflect on our shared responsibilities as Treaty people. Join us in stenciling or colouring a moccasin to take part in a collective effort to “Cover Canada in Moccasins” —a symbol of connection, awareness, and meaningful action toward Truth and Reconciliation.
