Site Installations are meant to promote public awareness and be placed on significant cultural historic sites

What is a significant cultural historic site?

  • Treaty and territorial lands – land acknowledgements
  • Indian Reserves  (as we live and know today)
  • Ancestral villages (where we once lived)
  • Burial grounds (at ancestral sites/areas)
  • Sacred sites (gatherings, spiritual places)
  • Medicine sites
  • Trails
  • Summer/Winter camps
  • Hunting/Fishing/Gathering/Harvesting sites
  • Almost always along the waterways

Tannery & Waterworks Parks, Oakville

Oakville Harbour’s west shore revitalization includes the Moccasin Identifier with an outdoor classroom gathering circle. An interpretive game for children was also integrated within the feature along with various moccasins designs  that were permanently sandblasted into the stone and painted.

Trillium Park

Toronto Ontario 2018

Trillium Park is a provincial park within the City of Toronto government but owned and operated by the Government of Ontario. Various Ontario landscapes inspired the park design. The William G. Davis Trail passes through the park connecting it to the Martin Goodman Trail.
